Christopher Bullington, age 35 of Pocahontas is facing sexual indecency charges after investigators say he had an “inappropriate relationship with a 13-year-old student.”
Bullington is employed as a teacher in the Jackson County School System according to authorities.
Jackson County arrested Bullington on Thursday, Feb. 10th following a lengthy investigation.
Jackson County School District contacted the sheriff’s office in November regarding allegations that Bullington was having an inappropriate relationship with a 13-year-old student.
During their investigation, detectives uncovered several social media accounts and phone information.
The case was then turned over to the Third Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
On Wednesday, a warrant was issued for Bullington’s arrest.
On Friday he appeared before District Judge Henry Boyce. Bond was set at $50,000 and ordered him to appear in circuit court on March 25th.
