The driver, Javier Rodela, age 31 of El Paso, Texas, consented to a search of the vehicle. During the search, a substantial quantity of narcotics were found. Deputies arrested Rodela and his passenger, Alejandro Flores, age 18 of El Paso. The vehicle was taken to the sheriff’s office for a more thorough search.

Officers discovered 62 pounds of methamphetamine; 24,000 opiate pills suspected to be fentanyl; and $4,991 in cash.
