The Pocahontas Mayor’s Office announced today that each full-time PPD officer has received these devices.
Statement from the Pocahontas Mayor’s Office:
On 5/1/2024, the Pocahontas Police issued every full-time officer with “LifeVac,” a choking rescue device. These devices are designed to help clear a person’s airway when choking on a foreign object, such as a piece of food or a small toy.
This is just one more tool we can use to better protect our community members. Every kit includes both an adult and child mask.
