A Cherokee Village man who is already in charged with several counts of sexual assault now has been charged with additional charges.

45-year-old Charles Edward Slater now faces two more counts of rape in Fulton County from incidents that allegedly occurred to an underage family member.

Slater’s bond on the Fulton County charges was set at $100,000. 

Slater is also charged with with several sexual assault charges Sharp County involving a person under the age of 14, his bond on the Sharp County charges total $400,000.

Cherokee Village Man Arrested On Rape Charges

Cherokee Village Police Department began an investigation after a February 6th report was taken in regards to a sexual assault on a family member that had allegedly taken place by Charles Edward Slater of Cherokee Village.
Cherokee Village Police Department and the Arkansas State Police were involved in the investigation.
Slater was arrested on February 9th at a job site in Cherokee Village.
Slater is charged with four counts of Rape, class Y Felonies and was transported to the Sharp County Jail.
