A Hoxie man is behind bars after refusing to stop for officers on Wednesday night.
Shortly after 10pm on Wednesday, officers attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Justin Francis of Hoxie.
Eventually, after a low speed pursuit, Francis pulled over at the Double Bee’s on Hwy 63 but still refused to comply with officers.
Francis was eventually removed from the vehicle and faces additional charges after being searched.
Francis was charged with Possession Of A Controlled Substance (Felony), Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia (Felony), Fleeing (Felony) and Refusal To Submit To Arrest (Felony).
Francis was taken to the Lawrence County Detention Center to await a bond hearing.
