Karen Rainwater, 81, of Corning, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023, at AMMC in Paragould.
She was born on April 3, 1942, the daughter of the late Elmer Lawrence Rainwater and Ivy Imogene Stevens Rainwater. She was a Church of Christ member and attended the Evening Star Church. Karen graduated from Bradford High School. She worked for years as a beautician and later for the Delaplaine School District and Walnut Ridge Nursing Home. Karen enjoyed sewing and was a talented seamstress, making dresses and gowns for proms, beauty pageants, and home coming queens. Karen was a
talented artist. She was a devoted daughter helping to care for her father and later her mother in their declining years. Karen had a generous heart, taking care of nieces and nephews, paying for, and taking
them to swimming lessons, dance lessons, music lessons and helping with the extras.

Surviving are four sisters; Charlene Rainwater Johnson, Linda Jean Rainwater Stark (James), Shirley Ann Rainwater Dickerson, and Dianne Rainwater Neill; twelve nieces, ten nephews, and numerous great nieces and great nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence, and Imogene Rainwater, and five siblings, Larry Allen Rainwater, Gary Kenneth Rainwater, Kevin Dee Rainwater, Keith Lee Rainwater,
Reggie Duane Rainwater, and a niece Kelly Lynn Rainwater Martin Stormes.

Visitation will be at noon at Bryan Funeral Home at 415 Texas Street, in Hoxie with the funeral to follow at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Green County Memorial Gardens in Paragould.
