Arkansas State Police is reporting that two women died Monday when a truck crashed into their van on a foggy highway.

Arkansas State Police fatal crash report stated the crash occurred at 7:25 a.m. on Sept. 18 on Hwy 5 near Midway in Baxter County.

39-year-old Jennifer Watlington of Yellville was southbound approaching the Hwy 126 intersection when a northbound 2005 Sterling truck driven by Michael Ragland, age 61 of Marshall failed to yield the right of way.

Ragland’s truck struck Watlington’s 2010 Chrysler Town and Country, killing her and her passenger, Sunshine Underhill, age 40 of Summit.

The report also says Ragland suffered unspecified injuries and was taken to Baxter Regional Medical Center.

According to the ASP crash report, heavy fog was reported at the time of the crash.
