The Sedgwick Volunteer Fire Department has received a grant from the Arkansas Forestry Commission. The grant was used to purchase much needed extrication tools for the department.
Chief Heath Ring states the tools valued at over $13,000 will assist firefighters in auto accidents, the tool is battery operated and easily portable.
Sedgwick Fire Department has seen an uptick in serious crashes over the last few years, these type tools can save firefighters valuable time therefore saving lives.
