A 19 year old Craighead County man was arrested on aggravated robbery charges after he allegedly robbed a man in the parking garage at St. Bernards Hospital.
The suspect identified by police as Alexander Martinez, age 19, of Jonesboro was arrested early Saturday morning in connection with an incident that happened around 11 p.m. on Friday April 1st.
The victim parked and while exiting the vehicle was confronted by Martinez.
JPD stated an officer, who was at the ER on an unrelated incident, was notified by St. Bernard’s staff that a robbery had just occurred, due to the proximity of the officer’s location, this contributed to the quick apprehension of the suspect.
Martinez was arrested on aggravated robbery, Police also found a firearm during the arrest, according to reports.
Martinez is being held in the Craighead County Detention Center, awaiting a probable cause hearing.
Martinez has an extensive record for a 19 year old including Terroristic Threatening charges, Drug Charges and numerous Assault and Battery charges in the past.
