Arkansas State Police are reporting that 29 year old Nathan Johnston of Pocahontas was killed in an accident this morning on Hwy 62 at the 11 Point River Bridge.
According to the report, a 2016 Chevrolet driven by Tyler Chaffin of Pocahontas was westbound on Hwy 62 when he lost control of the vehicle crossing the centerline and struck a 1993 Ford headed eastbound head-on killing Johnson and injuring Chaffin.
The Arkansas State Police stated in the report the bridge was icy at the time of the accident.
The accident occurred at 7:32 am according to the report.
