Shortly before 7 am on Friday the Lawrence County Dispatch received a call from a business reporting their Red 1999 GMC had been stolen from their business around 5pm on Thursday. The business stated they had surveillance video of the incident.
Lawrence County issued a BOLO (Be On The Look Out) for the vehicle to other departments and surrounding counties. Within minutes a Walnut Ridge Officer spotted the stolen vehicle and a suspect. Sheriff Deputies responded to assist the Walnut Ridge Officer, Trevor Payne DOB 6/30/1989 of Fouke Arkansas was arrested on the scene and charged with Felony Theft By Receiving. Payne has an extensive record with convictions for Commercial Burglary, Residential Burglary, possession of controlled substance , obstruction of government operations, attempting to take a weapon from a police officer along with parole and probation violations in both Texas and Arkansas.
Trevor Payne was taken to the Lawrence County Detention Center where he will receive a bond hearing.
