On Wednesday the Walnut Ridge Police Department was dispatched to the Flash Market on Hwy 67-B in Walnut Ridge after the Lawrence County Dispatch received a report of a possible intoxicated or impaired subject in a vehicle outside the business.

Walnut Ridge officers responded and made contact with the suspect identified as Adham Mohamed Qattoum, 22 years old of Decatur Illinois. When approached the suspect was ask what he was doing and responded “rolling a blunt”. Officers then gained consent to search the vehicle and found some 15 pounds of marijuana in 1 pound bags.

Officers learned the suspect was coming from Little Rock traveling back to Illinois when he stopped in Walnut Ridge. A further search of the vehicle revealed several counterfeit 100 dollar bills.

Qattoum was arrested and charged with Felony Delivery Of A Controlled Substance, Possession Of Marijuana and Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia. Qattoum is currently in the Lawrence County Jail awaiting a Bond Hearing, his vehicle was impounded by the Walnut Ridge Police Department.
