The time is drawing close for the area livestock exhibitors to get their animals ready for the upcoming
Lawrence County Fair livestock show.
The fair will run from Aug. 10 through Aug. 15, 2015 this year on the Lawrence County Fairgrounds in
Imboden, AR.
Hogs, cattle, sheep, goats and rabbits will be required to pre-enter. The deadline to enter will be Friday,
July 31, 2015.
Entry forms may be downloaded at lawrencecountyarkansas.com and the forms will
need to be postmarked on or before the deadline date. A separate entry form will be need to be
submitted for each species shown; for example, if an exhibitor is showing a market goat and a
commercial heifer, he or she would need to submit two entry forms, one for each different species
shown.
Chickens, ducks, turkeys, and horses do not require pre-entry; those exhibits will be entered on site at
the fairgrounds.
No fee is charged for the junior livestock show to be held on Friday, Aug. 14; however, a $10 entry fee
will be charged for the open cattle show which will be Thursday evening, Aug. 13. The open cattle show
is available to all beef exhibitors of any age and also requires a pre-entry form by the July 31 deadline.
Those forms are also available here on the Lawrence County website.
Check-in for junior livestock will be Wednesday, Aug. 12, beginning at 5 p.m. Animals must be in place
on the fairgrounds at that time.
