The Arkansas State Police released information in a one vehicle accident on Hwy 230 that claimed the life of Shannon Rainwater of Strawberry.
At 10:42 pm the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call of a one vehicle rollover on Hwy 230 around the Lawrence/Sharp County line. Strawberry Fire Department, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies, AET Ambulance and the Lawrence County Office Of Emergency Services were all notified of the accident. Responders arrived and found the vehicle but the driver was not inside. After a search of the area the driver identified as Shannon Rainwater of Strawberry was located, he had been ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
The area of the accident was actually discovered inside Sharp County so the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office, Cave City Fire and Rescue and Sharp County Office Of Emergency Services was notified as well. The accident was investigated by the Arkansas State Police, the Sharp County Coroner was requested to the scene.
Hwy 230 was closed for an extended period while investigators concluded their investigation and clean up was completed.
