Imboden Firefighters were paged to the scene of a vehicle fire at 7:48 pm on Friday. The vehicle, a pickup truck was in the north bound lane of Hwy 63 about a mile south of town. Imboden Rescue 4 and several firefighters responded to the scene. 

Firefighters arrived on scene and described the vehicle as fully engulfed. Chief Jim Jones requested assistance from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office for traffic control. Firefighters closed Hwy 63 for a short time for the safety of the firefighters. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, Dail’s Wrecker Service of Ravenden was requested to the scene to remove the vehicle.

No injuries were reported in the incident, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office conducted the investigation, the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
