On April 09, 2014 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Pocahontas Police Department arrested Carey Creelman , age 44 of Pocahontas on charges of Commercial Burglary and Theft of Property.

The arrest comes after Pocahontas Police executed a search warrant of Creelman’s apartment in Pocahontas. The officers discovered several items stolen from the Pocahontas Wal-Mart. Officers also found a 46” Samsung Smart Television that when the serial numbers were run showed to be missing from the Walnut Ridge Wal-Mart.

Pocahontas Police contacted the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office with the information. Deputies went to Wal-Mart in Walnut Ridge to get the information on the TV and to check surveillance video. Video was provided that showed Creelman taking the TV.

The information was used by deputies to obtain a warrant for Creelman. Creelman was arrested and interviewed about the TV. Creelman admitted to taking the TV to the deputies.

Bond was set at $1000 and a Circuit Court date of May 14 was issued.
