Wednesday night the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Walnut Ridge Fire Department and units from AET Ambulance were dispatched to Hwy 412 near the intersection with US 63 after reports of a one vehicle rollover accident.

Deputies arrived on scene first and reported the driver was out of the vehicle, the driver also was refusing medical attention. Officers noticed several alcoholic beverage cans around the vehicle. The suspect refused an alcohol test. Michael Polzin of West Plains was then arrested and charged with Driving on Suspended License, Careless and Prohibited Driving, Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test and Driving Under the Influence. Polzin was transported to the Lawrence County Jail. The accident is being investigated by the Arkansas State Police.
