Warrants Issued and a Woman Arrested for Residential Burglary and Theft of Property

On September 02, 2013 , the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jessica Huff ,age 38, of Strawberry for residential burglary and theft of property.
The arrest stems from a Strawberry resident reporting that their home had been broken into on May 11th. The home owner reported that two firearms, some money and a 2004 Ford Mustang was taken. The home owner told investigators that he believed that a man named Grant Larson and Jessica Huff might be involved with the theft.
Investigators spoke with area residents and found a witness who had seen Larson and Huff in the Mustang. The car was listed nationwide as stolen.
On May 23rd the Mustang was found abandoned in Davenport, Iowa. Information was gathered that Larson and Huff had been involved in a domestic dispute and had fled the area leaving the Mustang behind.
All the information gathered was presented to a Judge and a warrant was issued for both Larson and Huff. Huff was located and placed under arrest. Huff’s bond was set at $7,500 and a Circuit Court date of September 30th was issued. A warrant is still active for Larson.
