“Lennon’s Liverpool” – a unique presentation never before shown in the southern United  States – is coming to Downtown Walnut Ridge as part of the 3rd annual Beatles at the Ridge Music Festival on Friday September 20.

“Lennon’s Liverpool” is a multimedia show that takes the viewer back to Liverpool of the 1950’s and early 1960’s when John Lennon was a young boy and teenager.  Beatles fans will be able to experience John’s childhood via very rare photographs of his homes, schools, neighborhood, and early QuarryMan venues.

Many of these famous places are now either remodeled or destroyed, but Jude Kessler and her husband, Rande, were able to capture them in photographs taken in the 1990’s.  Using music, Lennon quotes, and lovely photos, Jude and Rande will let the audience experience the places John remembered all his life, though some have changed, and places in Liverpool that had an impact on the lives of the Beatles, including pubs, the NEMS office and The Cavern Club.

Jude Southerland Kessler, noted author, public speaker and radio show host, has established a reputation as the foremost Lennon expert.  She is the author of The John Lennon Series, a 9-volume expanded biography on the life of the musician.

From two decades of extensive research, travel and interviews, she and Rande have amassed an expansive collection of over 300 books, numerous interview tapes, CD’s, DVD’s, photos and stacks of periodicals pertaining to Lennon and the Beatles.

In addition to writing, Jude is currently touring the United States speaking to civic groups, book clubs, and social organizations, while hosting a weekly radio program, “The John Lennon Hour” on http://www.beatlesarama.com.

Jude and Rande will be on hand to show the 35-minute presentation, “Lennon’s Liverpool,” Friday, September 20, 7:30 pm, at The Venue on Main Street in Walnut Ridge, which is less than 200 yards from First National Bank’s Beatles Park Stage.

“You’ll love ‘Lennon’s Liverpool,'” noted Jude.  The event is free of charge.
