Lake Charles State Park would like to thank the Northeast Arkansas Master Naturalists

On Saturday, March 9, 2013, the Northeast Arkansas Chapter of the Arkansas Master Naturalists held their business meeting at Lake Charles State Park. After the meeting

was concluded the group joined park staff in rerouting a section of the Mockernut Trail that was washed away by repeated flooding. The staff of Lake Charles would like to

thank them for all of their hard work! This group has volunteered numerous hours helping to make our park better. Thank You!

The mission of the Northeast Arkansas Master Naturalists is to develop a corps of

well-informed volunteers to provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the

beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities.
