Lake Charles State Park would like to invite you to our Spring Yard Sale and Dutch Oven Cooking Demonstration on Saturday, March 23, 2013
We have started our spring cleaning and we need to clear out some room! Lake Charles State Park will be holding a yard sale at the Visitor Center on Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 9am – 4pm. We will have hundreds of items from our gift shop on sale. Adult and children’s t-shirts, jewelry, books, toys, mugs, fishing tackle, wind chimes, figurines, shelving units, and much more. Get here early for the best deals!
Also, we will be giving a Dutch Oven Cooking Demonstration at 10am in front of the Visitor’s Center near the Yard Sale. If you’ve ever wondered how a Dutch Oven works or been intimidated to try one, this is a program for you! Gain hands-on experience making a meal from start to finish and enjoy a taste of your creation. We will supply the food, fire, and fun. This program is free to all participants.
Lake Charles State Park is one of the 52 state parks administered by the State Parks Division of the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism. The park offers camping, boat launch ramp, a standard pavilion, picnic sites, swim beach, nature center, playground, restrooms and 3 bathhouses on 645-acre Lake Charles. Along with the visitor center and gift shop, the park offers three nature trails and year-round interpretive programs.
