Shortly before 11 pm on Wednesday night, a Lawrence County Deputy  in the Imboden area noticed smoke in the area of Hwy 62 and 2nd Street. The  deputy quickly discovered a residence located in the 200 block of West 2nd  Street with smoke coming from the roof. The deputy approached the residence and  attempting to make contact with anyone that may have been inside and contacted  the Lawrence County Dispatch reporting the fire.
Dispatch notified the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department and AET  Ambulance of Imboden. IVFD responded with two engines and multiple firemen to  the location.
Deputy Blake Liscomb stated he knocked out several windows and  called into the residence, noting there were no vehicles at the residence and it  did not appear anyone was home at the time of the fire.
Imboden requested the assistance of the Ravenden Volunteer Fire  Department, Ravenden responded with an engine and manpower. The cause of the  fire is unknown at this time. Along with the fire departments, deputies from the  Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office assisted with traffic.
