jones2The Sharp County Sheriff’s Office is announcing the arrest of robbery suspect Jason Jones. Sharp County received a tip stating that Jones was at a residence in the Ozark Acres community.
 
Officers found Jones, hiding in a wall according to authorities on Wednesday. Jones was arrested on an outstanding warrant for aggravated robbery. While in custody, authorities reported the suspect spit out part of a plastic glove containing marijuana.
 
Jones is in the Sharp County Jail awaiting a hearing.

Sheriff Jody Dotson today is issuing a warning concerning a suspect out of Sharp County. Jason Madrid Jones is wanted in Sharp County for his alleged involvement in a robbery of two men at gunpoint.

The victims were tricked into thinking the suspect had car trouble, stopped to help and were robbed at gunpoint in Hardy. The suspect has been identified by one of the victims.

Jason Madrid Jones has an extensive criminal history and includes violent tendencies, Sheriff Dotson warns the public not to approach, call 911.

A warrant has been issued in Sharp County for Jones, but Sheriff Dotson warns that this subject is known to enter Lawrence County and frequent the Smithville and Lynn areas.

Jones is described as 6 feet tall, 180 lbs brown hair and hazel eyes, 32 years of age.
