Black Rock Police Chief Chris Parnell has released information on the October 10th, 2012 on Hwy 117 in Black Rock. Firefighters from Black were called to a structure fire, as they arrived they noticed the back door had been forced open. Once firefighters extinguished the fire, it was determined by the Black Rock Fire Department to be a possible arson.

Once an investigation into the questionable fire was started, Black Rock Police obtained video surveillance from a nearby business showing a person walking to back of the residence and then leaving the residence shortly before smoke is visibly coming from the roof of the residence. The suspects vehicle was also seen in the video.

The suspect in the video was identified as Tommy “Pistol” Moore of Hoxie, Moore was later arrested and charged with Arson, Breaking or Entering and Criminal Trespass. Bond was set at $15,000.00.
