Hoxie Police Involved In A High Speed Chase On Sunday That Continues Through Several Counties
What began simply as an officer checking on a parked motorcycle on the side of the road turned dangerous. A Hoxie Officer spotted a motorcycle setting on Hwy 63, the officer turned around to check on it and the rider fled from Sgt. Blackwood.
The chase immediately went to high rates of speed, the officer ran a check of the motorcycles tag, learning that it was stolen out of Memphis. Several agencies were involved in the chase which finally ended in Marked Tree. Once in custody, the driver was identified as Mark Lambert, 30 years old, a wanted felon from Memphis.
Mark Lambert was charged with Fleeing, Aggravated Assault, Possession Of A Controlled Substance, Driving With A Motorcycle Endorsement, Reckless Driving and No Proof Of Insurance.
The were no reported injuries in the incident.
