The first Lynn Community Fest  was held Saturday night at the Hilcreast School Gymnasium.Festivities began  at 5:00 P.M. with free food and drinks for those in attendence . The Welcome and Invocation was given by Michael Bolin, Pastor of the Lynn, Black Rock, and Powhatan Methodist Churches. The program emcee Roger Helmsthen  sang the National Anthem. The Murphy Boys of Imboden opened the musical portion of the program. Local singers including Cheyann Bolin, Christina Balentyine Roger and Meredith Helms sang several songs. Mike Mcleod of Imboden performed followed by  a mucial  group headed up by Billy Snow . Then Internationally known musician Tim Crouch and Gary Rounds entertained the crowd. Door prizes given out and donations to the Childrens Shelter at Walnut Ridge which collected $1,600.

Noted attendees included Sheriff Jody Dotson who had a booth set up for the Sheriff’s Department and  State Representative James Ratliff who helped with the door prize drawings. All the performers and singers gathered at the end of the program for a rendition of “I’ll Fly Away”. The Benedicition was given by Don Winfrey, Pastor of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
