Hoxie Woman Arrested By The LCSO On Multiple Drug Charges

On December 14, 2011 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brooke Bookout (05/11/89) of Hoxie for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (Clonazepam), possession of a controlled substance (hydrocodone) and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest came after deputies received information that Bookout was selling pills around KFC and Sonic in Walnut Ridge. Deputies observed Bookout going back and forth between the businesses. Deputies approached Bookout and she started crying and told the deputies that she had pills and was trying to sell them for someone. Bookout gave the deputies 2 bags of pills. Bookout was Mirandize and gave a statement to deputies about the person who she was selling the pills for. Bookout was placed under arrest and transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing. Deputies took Bookout’s statement and are using it to obtain a warrant for the person who asked her to sell the pills on conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance charges.

 

One Drug Arrest Leads To Another Arrest By The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office

On December 15, 2011 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jimmy Blazer (05/06/75) of Walnut Ridge on charges of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance (Clonazepam). The arrest stems from an earlier arrest of Brooke Bookout for selling Clonazepam. Bookout stated to deputies that she was selling the pills for her uncle, Jimmy Blazer. Blazer was in the area when Bookout was arrested. Deputies took the information from Bookout and obtained a warrant for Blazer. Blazer was arrested on the warrant at his residence and transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing.
