Sheriff Jody Dotson today announced the arrest of Robert Matthews of Walnut Ridge for probation violations.
Matthews was placed on probation for 48 months on charges of possession of methamphetamine in June 2009. Since that time Sheriff Dotson stated he had failed several court ordered drug test and failed to comply with a court ordered drug treatment program. Matthews also was ordered to pay his fines and court cost which he failed to do.
Sheriff Dotson advised that his information was used to obtain a warrant for Matthews. Deputies located Matthews and placed him under arrest for the warrant. Matthews is currently in the Lawrence County Jail with a $5,000.00 cash bond. Matthews is scheduled to appear in court on June 29th.
