Sheriff Jody Dotson reports that the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department arrested Jeffery Scott Willfond of Walnut Ridge for felony domestic battery on March 6th.
The arrest came after a woman came to the Sheriff’s Department to report that she had been assaulted by her husband. The deputy took the report and documented swelling and bruising on the right side of the victims face. During the conversation with the victim it was learned that she was 3 months pregnant.
Deputies went and found Willfond at his residence where he was arrested without incident. Willfond was transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing. At a bond hearing Monday March 7th his bond was set at $10,000.00 and a Circuit Court date of March 23rd was issued.
