Sharp County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the arrest of Eric Nelson and Amanda Bivins both of Cave City for Fleeing.
Deputy Gary Mitchell spotted the suspect vehicle on Hwy 167 near Cave City, knowing the driver had a warrant he attempted to stop the vehicle. While attempting to initiate the traffic stop, the suspect vehicle fled. The pursuit ended when the suspect vehicle drove into a ditch and stopped due to bridge being closed for repairs.
The passenger attempted to jump from the moving vehicle, identified as Amanda Bivins, she was immediately taken into custody and refused medical treatment.
Nelson who fled on foot was taken into custody at his residence at around 7pm. Bivins is charged with fleeing on foot, Nelson is charged with Felony Fleeing. Both were transported to the Sharp County Jail.
