At 3:02pm Thursday the Lawrence County Dispatch Center notified the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department, AET Ambulance, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Arkansas State Police to the scene of a one vehicle wreck in Imboden. Imboden Fire Chief Chris Jones was on the scene at 3:04pm an discovered a pickup truck had crashed into a house located at 201 West 4th Street owned by Linda Perrin. Mrs. Perrin was home at the time but was not injuried.

The driver of the truck identified by witnesses as Russell Wicker of Imboden was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge by AET Ambulance Service of Imboden. Witnesses to the accident stated the Ford Ranger was traveling on Hwy 62 coming into Imboden and never stopped at the intersection of Hwy 62 and Hwy 63, crashing through a baracade and slamming into the back of the residence located on 4th Street. Witnesses estimated the vehicle was traveling in excess of 50 mph when it left the roadway.

The Imboden Volunteer Fire Department was assisted by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department and the accident is being investigated by the Arkansas State Police.
