The Imboden VFD, along with the Lawerence County Sheriff’s office, AET Ambulance, and Imboden City Council would like to invite you to the the Fourth Annual Halloween Block Party planned for Saturday, October 30th from 6-8pm at Imboden.
Halloween will be observed on Saturday October 30th in Imboden this year.
Five intersections inside the City of Imboden will be closed to traffic from 6-8pm on Saturday evening October 30th, in order to provide youngsters and parents/grandparents a SAFE, traffic free environment in which to walk and Trick or Treat from house to house.
Intersections to be closed are W. 4th st at Florida, the Southern end of Georgia St. at W. 4th st., West 4th st, at South North Carolina St, South North Carolina St. at West 4th St. and the western end of West 5th St. at Arkansas Highway 115.
According to the Halloween Block Party Coordinator Lt. Gene Ponder, members of the Imboden Volunteer Fire Dept. will be manning each blocked intersection to aid in traffic control, as well as to provide any needed assistance to children as they make their way throughout the neighborhood.
Parking for the event will be available on the Imboden Church of Christ parking lot as well as the Sloan-Hendrix new Gymnasium. There will be adults available to assist children and parents across Arkansas 115.
Parents are asked to remain with their children and to keep their children in sight at all times. Children should NOT be allowed to enter the houses in the neighborhood, and parents should take a flashlight with them.
