Monday August 2nd at 2:10 pm the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department was called to the scene of a two vehicle accident just south of the city limits on Hwy 63.

AET Ambulance of Imboden was dispatched to the scene but there were no injuries.

The accident which was a semi-truck that ran into the back of a small SUV was the result of stop and go traffic due to the road construction. Witnesses stated that a machine painting stripes on the road was causing traffic delays and congesting the highway.

The accident was investigated by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office as well as the Arkansas State Police. Damage was minimal to both vehicles.
