Jonesboro Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the 4400 block of Southbrook DR.
When officers arrived around 8:15 pm, they discovered a male with an apparent gunshot wound. EMS transported the victim to the hospital where he later died.
A person of interest has been detained in another county.
This investigation is ongoing and nothing further will be released at this time.
