From the Greene County Sheriff’s Office:
The scammers are at it again and using one of my employee’s name to try to defraud you, our citizens.
A male subject is using my Chief Deputy, Shanon Anthony, in their attempts to claim that the recipient of the phone call has a warrant and needs to make payment to take care of it. As a reminder, we do not call you to take care of a warrant and the fines associated with it. When in doubt, hang up the phone. Trust me, if it’s legit, we’ll come see you.
