Fulton County authorities report that after nearly 20 years, an Arkansas man has been arrested after he confessed to a murder from 2004.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office states that in August 2004, David “Stony” Stone was shot and killed through the window of a home.
Authorities say in May 2023, a new detective took over the investigation and re-examined the evidence.
In February of this year the detective interviewed Dennis Kingston, age 65 about the homicide.
During the interview, authorities say Kingston confessed that he shot Stone through the window in 2004.
Kingston is currently being held in the Fulton County Jail on a charge of first-degree murder and felony with a firearm.
He is scheduled to appear in court on February 26th.
