Donny Dwayne Cope, 86 of Powhatan, died February 14, 2024, in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge.
Born September 5, 1937, in Green Forrest, Arkansas; son of Jesse and Grace McDaniel Cope. He was a Merchant Marine, serving in the U.S. Army and National Guard. He enjoyed sports and played and coached Baseball and Football.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister and two brothers.
Survivors include his daughter, Nita Cope of Powhatan; a son, Freddy Cope (Donna) of Westville, OK; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Family will announce a service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to local little league baseball teams.
