At Monday’s Quorum Court meeting held in Walnut Ridge, Ashley Burris Director of the Lawrence County Library gave a presentation on the Lawrence County Library system and services offered.
Mrs. Burris presented patron and user statistics for each of the facilities. Also covered were the access to WiFi, digital collections available, business services offered and the outreach programs reaching over 200 children per week including weekly story times for children and the summer reading programs held each year by all three branches.
Mrs. Burris explained how the library system was funded and touched on future needs of the library.
The Lawrence County Library is located at 115 West Walnut Street in Walnut Ridge with satellite locations located in Lynn and Imboden.
The Bobbie Jean Memorial Branch is located in Imboden and the Driftwood Branch is located in Lynn.
The Lawrence County Library has been serving the citizens of Lawrence County since 1942.
