Authorities in Baxter County have charged a woman who took photos of someone else’s baby and posted them as her own has been arrested and charged.
Alysha Jones, age 22 of Mountain Home is charged with felony computer fraud after a probation officer with the district court presented evidence to the court regarding a possible fraud involving Jones.
Jones had been using photographs of a baby, obtained from Facebook, to obtain money, property or service with false representation.
Jones admitted to the scheme post-Miranda after being questioned by investigators.
Jones also stated to investigators she had lost three babies, including two this year alone.
Jones is currently being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $1,000 bond.
Jones has a past criminal record that includes charges of Fraudulent Use Of A Credit Card, 3rd Degree Battery, Theft Of Property and probation violations.
