Kamala Dawn Crone, age 55 of Horseshoe Bend entered a negotiated plea of negligent homicide with a vehicle while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated second offense, driving while license was suspended for DWI, refusal to submit to a chemical test, driving left of center, and no seatbelt. 

Authorities say Crone was driving a vehicle that collided with another vehicle head-on wreck in June of 2022 that killed 45-year-old Robert Trent Zeigler of Salem in the crash.

Crone was sentenced to 15 years in the Arkansas Department Of Corrections with 60 months suspended imposition of sentence.

A woman has been charged in Fulton County with negligent homicide and other charges following a deadly wreck.
Fulton County Sheriff’s Department filed a report on June 20th, the report alleges Kamala Dawn Crone, age 54 was involved in a head on crash June 17th.
Authorities say at approximately 4:15 p.m. an officer traveling north on Hwy 9 when he observed a head on traffic accident.
As the officer exited his vehicle, he observed a female identified as Crone attempting to start her vehicle and attempting to put it in gear.
Officers stated that Crone had a strong odor of intoxicants, bloodshot eyes, her speech was slurred and she had trouble standing.
Crone was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated after she refused to take a field sobriety and chemical test.
Crone was driving on a suspended license for a DWI in 2019.
Investigators say Crone had crossed the center line and struck other vehicle head on.
As a result, the passenger in the other vehicle was killed in the accident.
Crone was charged with negligent homicide, driving while intoxicated second offense, operation of a motor vehicle during suspension or revocation, refusal to submit to chemical test, driving left of center and no seatbelt.
