Arkansas State Police stated on Tuesday that there are “multiple casualties” after a fiery crash involving over a dozen vehicles on Hwy 67.

Arkansas State Police Communications Director C. Murphy stated as many as 15 vehicles were involved including semi trucks and passenger cars. The accident occurred on Hwy 67 near the Hwy 226 exit.

According to reports the fiery crash shut down traffic in both directions on Hwy 67 near Cash.

Multiple casualties are being reported but the identities and exact number are not yet known.

ASP says a field fire with thick smoke caused low visibility along the roadway causing the initial crash.

Multiple Department from around the area responded to the scene including several departments from Lawrence County.
