Authorities report a man in Fulton County was arrested after using counterfeit bills to purchase a truck.
A probable cause affidavit filed Sept. 21st in stated that 18-year-old Nathaniel Griffith contacted the owner of a 2002 GMC through Facebook Marketplace and set up a time and place to meet up.
According to court documents, Griffith handed the vehicle owner an envelope of counterfeit cash and drove off with the vehicle.
A short time later, the man discovered the money was counterfeit and called the authorities.
The vehicle was quickly spotted and pulled over by police, Griffith was placed under arrest and transported to the Mammoth Spring Police Department.
Authorities say Griffith admitting to the incident.
