The Arkansas State Police confirmed in a fatal crash report that Larry Young, age 72 of Sage was killed in a one vehicle accident on Monday morning.
According to the report, Young was driving a 2004 Ford F-150 that left the highway, striking a mailbox then striking a tree, killing Young and injuring his passenger, Donnie Vest age 69 of Melbourne.
The accident occurred on Hwy 115 at 9:14am this morning.
Smithville Fire, Strawberry Fire and Imboden Fire all assisted with the accident.
The accident was investigated by the Arkansas State Police.
The passenger was flown via medical helicopter to Region One Health Center for treatment of his injuries.
