Melba F. Herring 72, of Bartlettg, TN passed away June 13, 2023, at Methodist North Healthcare in Memphis.
Born August 9, 1950, in Earl, daughter to the late James Maxie and Alice Marie Lewis Ferguson. She was united in marriage to Howard Herring on May 11, 1968. Melba was a high school graduate from Walnut Ridge high school, and spent most of her life working as a clerk at FedEx and AT&T.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard; and four brothers, Bobby, Tom, Joe, and Carl Ferguson
Survivors include her two children, Denise (Rusty) Cartwright of Brighton, TN, and Jimmy Dale (Tracy) Herring of Bartlett, TN; five grandchildren, Gordon Cartwright, Corey (Jessie) Cartwright, and Reese (Camille) Cartwright all of Brighton, TN, Madelynn Herring and Alice Herring both of Bartlett, TN; one sister, Sherry Eaves of Brighton, TN; and several other family members and friends that loved her dearly.
Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, in the Clover Bend Cemetery with Bro. Glenn Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be Gordon, Corey, and Reese Cartwright, Hunter, Joe, and Harold Dulaney.
Visitation will be Saturday from 12 PM till 2 PM at the Bryan Funeral Home.
