Authorities say a women involved in a murder this month is seeing additional charges with the addition of Theft by Receiving, a class D felony.
This comes in addition to her original charges of 1st Degree Murder and Abuse of a corpse as a result of the investigation of the death of David Southerland, age 59 of Viola.
Southerland was allegedly found on June 1st at the gate of a property on 1174 Briarwood Road with a gunshot, burns, and a piece of barbed wire wrapped around his neck.
Authorities say the additional charges stem from Stacie Hickman being found on June 2nd in the victim’s vehicle at the State Highway Department building. The vehicle had been reported as stolen.
