Ravenden Fire, ProMed Ambulance and Ravenden Police were dispatched to an address on South 1st Street In Ravenden at 7:54pm after the Lawrence County Dispatch received a report of a small child that was struck by a vehicle.
The child was reported to be conscious but injured.
A medical helicopter has been put on standby by medics.
This is a developing story, we will update as information becomes available.
Update: the child was transported by ambulance after the medical helicopter from Batesville declined the flight due to poor conditions.
A second medical helicopter from Hospital Wing accepted the flight and is currently in route to Sedgwick to meet the ambulance and transport the child to a Memphis hospital.
Sedgwick Fire has been requested to set up a landing zone for the inbound aircraft.
