Cade Scott Grisham, an Honor Graduate of the Senior Class of 2022-23 at Sloan-Hendrix High School in Imboden, AR, has been admitted as a member of the entering class of the Norbert O. Schedler Honors College at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, AR.
Established in 1982, the Schedler Honors College is the oldest honors program in the state of Arkansas, is recognized nationally as a leader in collegiate Honors education, and each year accepts only 75 matriculants from the hundreds of applicants it receives from across the nation. Acceptance into the Schedler Honors College, in addition to being an honor based on its highly selective and rigorous admissions process and national status, comes with a scholarship package valued at $62,000 over four years at the University of Central Arkansas.
As its mission, the Schedler Honors College “identifies exceptional students, immerses them in a learning community where they can examine who they are and practice who they want to become, provides them with opportunities for growth and transformation, and develops them as citizen-scholars ready to guide socially responsible change.”
While at Sloan-Hendrix, Grisham has been a member of the Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America, Student Council, the Sr. Boys’ track team, and the Senior Boys’ Basketball team. He also works part time at Westridge Animal Center in Pocahontas, AR.
Cade is the son of Ricky and Jennifer Grisham of Imboden, AR and the grandson of Kathy and the late Bob Hufstedler of Imboden, AR; Sandy and the late Gary Grisham of Harrison, AR; and the late Dona Kaye Byrd of Osage, AR.
