James Neel, 77 of Walnut Ridge, died at his residence January 17, 2023.
Born February 22, 1945, in Minturn; son of the late James and Birdie Green Neel. He was united in marriage to Mary Fogle in 1965. James was a Truck Driver, Mechanic, and a Black Smith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding bikes and going to flea markets. He loved to work on anything with wheels, he had a sharp memory and was a great storyteller.
He is preceded by his parents; his daughter, Teresa Neel; one brother, Jimmy Neel; and a sister, Betty Vaughn.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; two sons, Paul Fogle and James (Lorrie) Neel Jr; one daughter, Jamie (Jason) Neel; one grandson, Kyle; two granddaughters, Mercedes, and Tiarra; two great granddaughters; one great grandson; and one great great granddaughter; a brother, Harley Dale Neel; a sister, Sam Ryan; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be Friday, January 20, 2023, at 3 P.M. in the Arnold Cemetery in Swifton with Troy Owens officiating. Pallbearers will be his family and friends.
