According to the Mountain Home Police an individual was arrested for an assault at a gas station on Friday, December 9th, where a man was assaulted with a tire iron.

Authorities were called out for the reported assault to Murphy Oil where they found large amounts of blood near the gas pump at the facility.

Surveillance footage revealed a man grabbing a tire iron, then sneaking up behind another man, and hitting him in the head with the iron.

Video showed the victim was able to flee the scene.

The victim received medical treatment afterward for his head injury.

The suspect identified as Curtis Clifton, age 43 of Mountain Home, was later arrested on Felony 2nd Degree Battery and Felony Aggravated Assault.

Clifton’s bond was set at $50,000. He is currently in the Baxter County Detention Center.
