Shortly after 3pm on Sunday the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call from a subject threatening suicide.
Law enforcement officers from Black Rock, Lawrence County, ASP and Arkansas State Parks responded to a residence in the 4200 Block of Hwy 25 outside Powhatan.
Black Rock Fire and Medic One Ambulance were also notified and advised to stage at the Lake Charles boat ramp until law enforcement could arrive and make sure the scene was safe.
At 3:30 pm law enforcement arrived on scene and immediately requested the ambulance respond.
At 3:40 pm a request was made for the coroner to respond to the address.
No names were released pending notification of family and the ongoing investigation into the matter.
